Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) is spearheading the proposal along with Sens. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.) and Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska). All they’re doing is delaying the messy confrontation that’s necessary to bring this to a head.

If this plan succeeds, I’m assuming we can expect the government to shut down yet again, in 2014. Plan your vacations to any government landmarks accordingly.

_AN10448.JPGOur deployed service members will now lose one of the few comforts that remind them of home: watching NFL and MLB games in overseas chow halls.

Don’t you waste a tear though! President Obama’s sports coverage in the White House hasn’t been interrupted. I would also like to report that they have scrimped up enough change to keep Camp David and it’s gold course fully operational. They have also somehow managed to keep every golf course located on a U.S. military base open, which the President has been frequenting every weekend.

Although  our President may not visit our men and women in uniform very often, at least he’ll visit the hell out of their golf courses. Classy move Mr. President.

fallen-soldiers-funeral-2009-8-15-20-42-43President Obama’s exploitation of the government shutdown gets more ludicrous every day. Now it seems that the President’s administration is currently denying burial benefits for our men and women killed overseas. It doesn’t get much lower than flipping the bird to grieving families trying to put their loved ones to rest.

All the while the President and all of Congress continue to get paid their full salary and all benefits. LET THEM EAT CAKE!!!

We live in an economy that is far from free and is infested with government regulations and corporate manipulation. The internet service industry is a picturesque example of this.

What the Az Shooting Has Taught Us

Posted on January 10th, 2011 by Ben Spera

The January 8th shooting in Tucson, Arizona was a tragic enough event in itself, but many of us were not prepared for what followed. Political opportunists, with no regard for the gravity of such a deplorable act, never skipped a beat- immediately blitzing opponents with accusations and attempts to pin liability on conservative pundits with no affiliation with the gunman whatsoever. At times their rhetoric seemed unreal, like a sick joke, I just could not believe the lack of logic and evidence in any of their allegations. Read more…
